Happy Holidays

I detest people saying Happy Holidays. The celebration is called CHRISTMAS. The real Christmas is not about gifts or little kids waking up in the morning to see what Santa has brought them this year.Is it not about sitting by a fire drinking eggnog. I'm not saying that's not all good and fun. Companies always hang banners or posters saying HAPPY HOLIDAYS or MERRY XMAS. Sorry folks but you wouldn't be exchanging gifts if Christ was not born unto this earth. Our country was founded on religious beliefs which can be seen in all of our historical documents such as the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution.
The reason for Christmas is about Jesus. People need to realize that it is much more than a holiday like New Year's Day. Come ON people get excited. You are celebrating your Savior's Birth. He is the reason we can go to Heaven even though we sin and don't deserve it.
Another thing that gets me agitated is replacing Christ with an x. I understand if you are in a hurry and you need to right it on a calendar or something. I do not think it is write to dis respect your savior. For instance, we were out looking for a Christmas tree and I saw a sign that said,"X-mas trees on sale." That is ridiculous.
We need to put Christ back in Christmas.
